Chapter 12 - Part 7
Part 7 - Beyond Salvation
Allana stood before the door to her room and just couldn’t bring herself to open it, the memories from last night’s nightmare still too present. Instead she invaded the room next door and, smiling maliciously, pulled the curtains open and jumped onto the bed. Protests filled the air when she mercilessly uncovered its occupant.
“Good Morning!” she said in a high tone and Selina turned the other way, frowning.
“Yes, yes! Wake up, sleepy head!
“You’re insane! Let me sleep!”
“Oh, I see … Busy night, eh?” she asked playfully, recalling she had last seen her in a common room surrounded by her new admirers, and the girl opened her eyes immediately, turning to face her with a mischievously smile.
“Not as busy as yours,” she answered. “How was His Highness?” Completely caught off guard, Allana blushed profusely and couldn’t help avert her gaze.
“What are you talking about?”

Part 6 - Scolding
The morning sky dawned grayish as it was common during Spring time, but still the white light pouring from the windows was enough to wake him up.
For a split second he wished he could just turn to the other side and go back to sleep. The day ahead of him promised nothing but boring and dull moments, all of which he could very well do without. But, as soon as he moved, a small hand slid over his chest and a mumbling protest reached his ears. With eyes suddenly wide open he peered down at the girl sleeping beside him and couldn't help smile.
She really looked like a little girl, her small body fitting perfectly under his arm. She slept turned his way, her knees bent, the soft skin of her legs pressed against his waist. Her expression was calm and peaceful, just like her... read more ❯

Part 5 - A Blue Eyed Angel
Allana sighed in relief when she was finally allowed to return to her room. She had spent the rest of the afternoon in Selina's company, smiling and nodding as she feigned interest in the young Lords' boasting manners. Selina, on the other hand, had spent the afternoon in heaven, charming rich young men, sons of Duchess and Baronesses and, by supper time, the line of admirers that followed her every step had grown to eleven. Of course that meant she was equally hated by the other Ladies just as much, but that didn't seem to bother her in the least.
Feeling tired after an entire day roaming the palace in the wake of the maddening trip they'd endured from Everlyn, she undressed her blue dress, the hem of her long skirt dirtied and ragged from all the dragging around, and slipped into a... read more ❯

Part 5 - Last Words
Endio took a deep breath when the representatives of both Orders of Knights finally left the Council room. Preparations for the eminent attack were going smoothly and Knights carrying messages with requests of reinforcements had been dispatched to Leips and Harver, the Kingdoms that stood south of Mithir.
Endio sighed as his thoughts went to Elian, who had left almost four days ago. As much as he trusted the abilities and devotion of the Knights that accompanied him, he couldn’t help but worry and pray for his fast and safe return.
And yer, as of late, Elian wasn’t the only one in his thoughts. Word that the Northern Armies would soon attack Everlyn echoed everywhere, inside and outside the palace walls, and he couldn’t help think about Lidya, his heart secretly wishing he’d wake up, one day, to see that she had... read more ❯
