Chapter 24   DEO – The Path of Daleth. The Black Brothers.1 –   “If I could be the light that lights your way, I wouldn’t wish for anything more of this finite passage over this lost world. And not even all the shadows I carry, nor all the thorns that torture me, would be strong enough to pull me away from my destiny.”             Part 3 “Mari, are you sure?” “Of course. Nothing bad will happen,” I stated in my most convincing tone as I walked to school next to an annoyed Alexander. The morning wasn’t as cold as the day before, I noticed happily. “You’re pretending to be something you’re not,” he openly declared. “The truth is that you do have doubts, and that you’re scared.” “I trust you.” “Even so, you know I was watching over you yesterday, and I couldn’t stop what happened,” he reminded me with a bitter tone and I recalled his panicking expression when he’d leaned... read more ❯

And not even all the shadows I carry, nor all the thorns that torture me, would be strong enough to pull me away from my destiny.”             Part 2 I woke up the following day to the immediate realization that I would have to be really careful with the way I moved. I felt around my body, trying to ascertain the most critical areas, and came to the depressing conclusion that the effects of what had happened the day before would accompany me for the next few days. I got dressed, wincing and groaning here and there, and the necessary time needed to effectively comb my hair was an absolute torture to my aching arms. I went downstairs, grabbing hold of the... read more ❯

And not even all the shadows I carry, nor all the thorns that torture me, would be strong enough to pull me away from my destiny.”             Part 1 I remember coming back to life in a warm wave of pain. My whole body hurt as if I’d been a victim of some serious spanking. I groaned as I took a deep breath, and then groaned again just to make sure I’d recovered my voice. The weight of the air around me left me immediately alert and, with some more groaning through clenched teeth and a lot of cringing, I finally managed to turn to the other side. My eyes were immediately on him, on his perfect figure, and my heart sped... read more ❯

Chapter 23   ZID – The Holy Guardian Angel. His instruction.1 –   "Because I feel I know I’m alive, that something more inhabits me, even if what I feel slowly makes me sink into a dark ocean of terror. Ah, how I wish that the threads that bind me were everlasting, eternally tying to me the cold, white hands that command them ...”           Part 4 Tuesday came like any other day, with the difference being I had an English test early in the morning. On the way to school I adamantly forbade Alexander from talking to me, taking the chance the review some of the concepts I’d been cramming for the last three days. I ignored his mocking smile, which clearly told me that only a Human Being could give that degree of importance to such an insignificant thing, and buried my head in the notes that I’d so carefully compiled. Michael was waiting for me by the entrance and it... read more ❯
